I use the single dim light and the shadows to create another world, the world connected to the physical surface but transcending into other dimensions. The abstract shapes of the shadows in my pictures appear to be some forms of landscapes, based on our common perception, but go beyond that by being tilted and reformed. I explore binaries in my work. The light against the shadow; a sense of place against a sense of nothingness; the outside against the inside; reality opposed to illusion.
